4. Starfish

Ah now we’re going to make some cool starfish!
First make a new layer, I’ll be using a layer inside of a folder called “starfish” so we don’t get lost.
Make sure you’re on a new layer then get the Custom Shape Tool -

Now you’ve got the Custom Shape Tool, select the shape you need (the star) by clicking the arrow near the current shape at the top of Photoshop.

If the star isn’t there, click the small arrow pointing left, and select all of the shapes (All)

Set your foreground color to #fc6f65 then make the star on the canvas.

Hold CTRL and left-click the layer thumbnail for this star, (this is to select it.)

In the Photoshop menus, go to Select > Modify > Contract and use 2 pixels, now again go to Select > Modify > Smooth and use 5 pixels.
