Create a new layer above the text layer.
Make a selection around the text by holding ctrl and then clicking the text layer’s thumbnail. Move this selection up 2 pixels, fill the selection with white, move the selection up 1 more pixel then press delete.
After doing that, you should be left with a single line like this:

Change the layer mode for this line layer to Overlay.

Which should leave you with an effect like this:

Not bad at all in my opinion ;)

Ok, I always like to end things with sharpen, noise and lightings effects!
To get a nice finished effect, merge or flatten the layers together. Now go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen, if it’s too strong which it most likely will be, fade the filter to about 60%, (Edit > Fade).
Now apply Filter > Noise > Add Noise with an amount of about 0.5-1.5%.
Lastly, go and apply a nice Lighting Effect (Filter > Render > Lighting Effects.

Now you should have a result like this:
