Now we want to add a grunge effect to the shapes, so either add a Layer Mask or use an eraser with a grunge brush to erase a few bits of the shapes.

In that case I used a layer mask with some grunge brushes.
Add some basic text in the bottom right corner of the right shape. I used Tahoma with a basic Drop Shadow.

Next up make another, smaller but longer selection in the middle of the two shapes like so:

Fill the selection with a much lighter color than the others, I used #85b0c8.

Copy the Layer Style from the other layer and copy it to the new one (Right-Click layer, click Copy Layer Style, Right-Click other layer and click Paste Layer Style.)

Now you should have something nice like so:

Lookin’ good.. add some grunge like you did with the other one.
