Step 3.
Go into the Blending Options for your shape layer (right-click layer in layer’s and go into Blending Options) and apply the following layer styles:
- Inner Shadow
Color used: #ffffff. - Outer Glow
Color used: #000000. - Inner Glow
Color used: #000000. - Bevel and Emboss
- Gradient Overlay
Black to white. - Pattern Overlay
To use this pattern, first download this texture, open it in Photoshop, then define it as a pattern (Edit > Define Pattern) then you will be able to use it in Pattern Overlay.
You should now have a result like this:

Now bad from just applying layer styles, hey?
Step 4.
Make a selection around the button by holding ctrl and clicking the layer’s thumbnail.
After making a selection around it, create a new layer then draw a black gradient from beneath the selection to the middle.

Flip the gradient vertically (Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical, now move the gradient 2 pixels from the top off the button.

Change the layer mode for this gradient layer to Overlay and lower the opacity to about 50-60%.

Pretty nice detail hey? It’s all about the little details.
